One goal of the C.H.A.P.S. mission is the preservation of an important part of our shared culture — the history of Coleman County.
Existing permanent exhibits
The following exhibits are available for viewing during museum hours:
- Antique Toy Collection
- Bridget Dunlap Arrowhead Collection
- Coleman at Home
- Dean Beard Room
- Medical Exhibit
- Military Room
- Textiles Room
Future permanent exhibit
Planned as a centerpiece for the museum is a new permanent exhibit that tells the story of Coleman County from before its creation in 1858 up to the present day.
Temporary exhibits
In addition to the permanent exhibits, there will be temporary exhibits in the Gallery at Heritage Hall:
- seasonal exhibits such as the Veterans Day exhibit
- thematic exhibits such as one featuring the songwriters of Coleman County
- traveling exhibits from other institutions
We plan to achieve this goal through the ongoing support and development of the Coleman Museum housed in Heritage Hall.
